Stitch patterns - Garter stitch: knit all rows. Lace pattern: follow the chart and instructions. Gauge 23 sts and 32 rows in lace pattern = 10 cm / 4 in
Using Off White cast on 3 sts and knit 1 row (WS). Row 1 (RS): *kfb (knit front and back)*, repeat *-* once, k1 = 5 sts. Row 2 (WS): knit all sts. Row 3: kfb, k2, kfb, k1 = 7 sts. Row 4: k3, p1, k3. Row 5: k3, yarn over, k1, yarn over, k3 = 9 sts. Row 6: k3, p3, k3. Row 7: k3, yarn over, k3, yarn over, k3 = 11 sts. Row 8: k3, p5, k3. Begin the lace pattern on row 1 of chart I: k3, work the lace pattern (= 5+1 sts), k3 = 12 sts. Keep working 3 sts at both ends in garter st. In the middle section work rows 2-64 of chart I. 2 sts increased on rows 15, 31, 47 and 63; 1 st increased on other RS rows. 47 sts on the needles. Keep working 3 sts at both ends in garter st. In the middle section work rows 1-32 of chart II 8 times in total. Work the 18 st pattern repeat once the first time, twice the second time, etc. Then switch to Sandy Beach and work rows 1-32 of chart II twice more. 227 sts on the needles. Work garter st for 6 rows with all sts, then loosely bind off.Finishing Pin to measurements wrong side up, mist and allow to dry. Securely weave in all ends. Make approx. 11 cm long tassels to the corners using the Off White yarn and wind some Sandy Beach around them.
