Stitch pattern - Garter stitch: knit all rows. Lace pattern: follow the chart and instructions. Gauge 19 sts in lace pattern = 10 cm / 4 in
Cast on 259 sts and work 6 rows in garter st. On the next row (WS) k2 at both ends and purl all other sts. Begin the lace pattern on row 1 of the chart: k2, repeat the 17 st pattern 15 times, k2. Keep working 2 sts at both ends in garter st. Work rows 2-14, then keep repeating rows 1-14 until the piece measures approx. 165 cm. Work rows 1-5 once more. On the next row (WS) k2 at both ends and purl all other sts. Work 5 rows in garter st, then bind off loosely on WS with knit stitches. Finishing Securely weave in all ends. Steam and shape, making the cast-on and bind-off edges nice and wavy.
