Crochet pattern Work double crochet (dc) and chain sts (ch) following the instructions.
Gauge 22 dc and 24 rows in dc = 10 cm / 4 in
Using the Snorkmaiden yarn, chain 31 for a beginning chain.
Round 1: 1 dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1 dc into next 28 ch, 5 dc into last ch. Do not turn work. Now crochet into the other side of the beginning chain. 1 dc into each ch, 5 dc into 1st ch = 68 dc (29 dc at the sides, 5 dc at the ends).
Crochet in the spiral, moving straight to the next round. From now on work dc into the back loops of the sts on the previous round. Place marker for beginning of round and move it after each round.
Round 2: 29 dc, *3 dc into next st, 1 dc, 3 dc into next st, 1 dc, 3 dc into next st*, 29 dc, repeat *–*. 12 sts increased, 80 dc in total.
Round 3: 29 dc, *1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 3 dc, 2 dc into next st, 3 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc*, 29 dc, repeat *–*. 6 sts increased, 86 dc in total.
Round 4: 1 dc into each st = 86 dc.
Round 5: 29 dc, *1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 2 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc, 2 dc into next st, 1 dc*, 29 dc, repeat *–*. 12 sts increased, 98 dc in total.
Now work without increases.
Round 6: 1 dc, *ch 1, skip 1 dc, 1 dc into next st*, repeat *–* to end of round = 98 dc. Crochet in the spiral, moving straight to the next round.
Rounds 7–>: ch 1, *1 dc into ch on previous round, ch 1*, repeat *–*.
After 5 rounds without increases, switch to the Moominmamma yarn. Alternate 5 rounds in Moominmamma and 5 rounds in Snorkmaiden.
When the piece measures 18 cm, work 2 rounds of dc for attaching the zipper. Break the yarn.
Attach the zipper.
