Make sure there is no twist and join to work in the round. Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round. Knit 56(56)57(57)58(58)59(59) sts, place a second stitch marker here and knit 56(56)57(57)58(58)59(59) sts. Now make the increases for the shoulders.
1st increase round: K1 (= right shoulder), M1L, knit to the stitch marker, M1R, k1 (= left shoulder), M1L, knit to the stitch marker, M1R.
Continue to work flat in stockinette and start the German short rows to create the back of the neckline:Knit the shoulder stitch, M1L, k5, turn your work. Make DS out of the first stitch, P5, M1RP, purl the shoulder stitch, M1LP, purl until 1 st remains before the stitch marker, M1RP, purl shoulder stitch, M1LP, p5, turn your work and make DS out of the first stitch.
*Knit all stitches until the stitch marker, M1R before marker, after marker k1, M1L, knit all stitches until the stitch marker, M1R before marker and after marker k1, M1L, knit all stitches until the DS, work the DS as a single stitch, k5, turn your work and make DS out of the first stitch.Purl all stitches until the stitch before the stitch marker, M1RP, p1, M1LP, purl until the stitch before the stitch marker, M1RP, p1, M1LP, purl all stitches until the DS, purl the DS as a single stitch, p5, turn your work and make DS out of the first stitch.*

K3 and place the 1st stitch marker here, knit the 75(79)82(86)89(93)96(100) front section sts and place the 2nd stitch marker here, k5 (=left sleeve), place the 3rd stitch marker, work the 75(79)82(86)89(93)96(100) back section stitches, place the 4th stitch marker here, the remaining 2 sts form part of the right sleeve. This is now the beginning of a new round.
Continue to work in stockinette in the round and start the sleeve increases inside the stitch markers. The sleeves will widen from the shoulder, there will be no more increases to the front and back sections.
Increase round: M1L after the 4th stitch marker, work the sleeve stitches, M1R before the 1st stitch marker, work the front section, M1L after the 2nd stitch marker, work the sleeve stitches, M1R before the 3rd stitch marker, work the back section stitches.
Repeat these increases every other round a further 18(18)18(19)19(20)20(21) times. The sleeves now have 43(43)43(45)45(47)47(49) sts.
Continue to work in stockinette and make increases to the sleeves and the front and back sections.

Repeat these increases a further 1(2)4(5)7(8)10(11) times. You will now have 252(268)290(310)332(352)374(394) sts, with 47(49)53(57)61(65)69(73) sts per sleeve and 79(85)92(98)105(111)118(124) sts each on the front and back sections.
PART 3
Separating the sleeves
Transfer the 47(49)53(57)61(65)69(73) right sleeve sts on to a length of scrap yarn. They will be worked later. Cast on 4(5)5(6)6(7)7(8) sts in the armpit for the arm opening, work the 79(85)92(98)105(111)118(124) front section sts, transfer the 47(49)53(57)61(65)69(73) left sleeve sts on to a length of scrap yarn, cast on 4(5)5(6)6(7)7(8) sts for the second arm opening, work the 79(85)92(98)105(111)118(124) back section sts. Work 2(2)2(3)3(3)3(4) of the newly cast on sts. This is now the beginning of a new round. Place a stitch marker here.
The body now has 166(180)194(208)222(236)250(264) sts. Continue to work in stockinette in the round until the longer length version measures 35(35)35(35)35(36)36(36) cm and the shorter length version measures 27(27)27(27)28(28)28(28) cm when measured from the armpit.
PART 4
Try on your knitting and check the length. Continue to knit until your top is the right length. Knit 1 more round and work 2(2)4(4)6(6)8(8) st decreases at regular intervals = 164(178)190(204)216(230)242(256) sts.
At the end of the round, add 3 new stitches to the left needle for the i-cord bind-off. Use the knitted cast-on method for this. Now bind-off using the i-cord technique: *K2, k2tog tbl. Slip 3 sts back on to the left needle.* Repeat *–* until only the 3 i-cord sts remain. Cast off and graft together using the Kitchener stitch.
PART 5
