Lace Shawl Novita Huurre (Frost)
This delicate triangle-shawl is knitted in four different pieces. A leaf-patterned square is knitted first for the bottom corner. Changing shades of Novita Huurre (Frost) yarn are adding more expression to this shawl.

Using double-pointed needles cast on 8 sts loosely. Distribute sts evenly over 4 of the 5 needles ( 2 sts on each needle) and, taking care not to twist cast-on edge and using 5th needle, work in rounds as follows: Beg and ending rows as indicated, work in patt from chart I. as folls:
Rnd 1: Repeat 2 st patt 4 times. Cont in patt and work rows 1.-54. =216sts, (54sts on each needle). Cast off loosely 108sts =2 patt repeats. Cont working on right side patt rep=54sts and leave left side patt rep=54sts on a holder.
Triangles
Triangles are worked flat (see pattern).
Beg and ending rows as indicated, cont in patt from chart II. as folls:
Row 1: Work 1 st in garter st, repeat 5 st patt until 1 st remain, work 1st in garter st. Cont working 1 st on both edges in garter st and middle sts in patt; rep rows 1.-2. AT THE SAME TIME decrease 1st on the left edge every other row until 1st remain. Make sure that in patt you always have one yrn to one dec and vice versa. Break yarn leaving a long end. Pull end through rem st and tighten it. Weave in all ends.
Rejoin yarn to 54 sts on a holder and complete to match first side, reversing shapings. Make decreases on the right edge.
Top Edge Lace
(see pattern)
RS: Using 4,5mm circular needles pick up 155 sts from top edge.
WS: Knit 1 row. Make sure that the middle st is on the tip of the leaf pattern square.
Beg and ending rows as indicated, cont in patt from chart III. as folls:
Row 1: Work 4 sts as indicated in chart (from right edge), repeat 10 sts patt 15 times, work 3 sts from left edge in chart. Cont in patt and work rows 1.-16. Then rep rows 1.-16. twice more. If you prefer a bigger shawl, you can rep rows more ( you will need more yarn though). Cast off.
Making Up
Crochet the edge:
Rnd1: dc all round, start with short side and end with top.
Short sides: Cont in patt from crochet chart. Work short sides flat.
Top edge: dc in each st.
