Making Up
Felt slippers in a washing machine. Use standard 40°C washing programme and laundry detergent. Add to the machine small amount of some other laundry such as 2 towels. Don't overfill the machine. Various machines felt wool differently. Put transparent plastic bag into the slippers before you felt them. This stops slippers getting felted together from the inside. Shape slippers to the desired dimensions after washing by pulling and brushing them into shape. If slippers turned out too big, you can repeat the felting process. Fold the top of the slippers in half and tie velvet-ribbons in front. Wash finished slippers by hand when needed.
