Join the Suvisointu KAL – a summer knit-along! The Suvisointu is a summery knitted sweater made from the soft and pleasantly textured Novita Sointu yarn, and it can also be made as a dress. The knit-along begins on June 17.
What is a KAL?
KAL stands for “knit-along,” a shared knitting project where a group of knitters works on the same pattern at the same time, step by step. In the Suvisointu KAL, the pattern is released in five parts, and you can knit along at your own pace – either on your own or together with others.

The Suvisointu sweater is the perfect summer knit, combining ease, comfort, and beautiful drape. Knitted seamlessly from the top down using Novita Sointu yarn, it is a relaxing and rewarding project from start to finish. It’s ideal for knitting on the cottage dock, at a park picnic, or while getting into the summer holiday mood.
Raglan increases shape the sweater to fit the body beautifully, and the lightweight, soft texture of Sointu yarn makes the garment airy and comfortable even on warm days.
The pattern includes three different sleeve lengths, so you can create a version that suits your style and summer weather – with short cap sleeves, T-shirt sleeves, or long sleeves.
