Styling challenge: One knit, three styles

Novita challenged Maryam Razavi, known as a multi-talented figure in the fashion world, to choose her favorite knitwear from the spring Signature collection and style it for three different occasions: home, work, and a date.

Maryam Razavi, who has had a long career as a model and stylist, chose a burgundy Ilo cardigan for the challenge, knitted with triple Novita Edith silk mohair yarn.

"My attention was immediately drawn to the deep, gorgeous color of the knit. The design was also perfect: beautifully oversized, but easily adaptable to different situations."

As with her own clothing, Maryam says she started building her style for this challenge based on her feelings.

“Clothes should feel comfortable and lift your spirits. If you have to constantly think about or adjust your clothes, they’re not working.”

1. Stylish at work

Wide jeans or suit pants, stylish sneakers, and a spacious bag that can hold everything you need for the day.

"Knitwear works great for work attire. I wanted to strike a balance between casual and stylish with this outfit. Straight suit pants or wide jeans with pleats add structure, while sneakers make the outfit functional even on a busy day. The wine-red shade of the blouse adds depth to the outfit, while the silver shoes add personality and playfulness."

2. Contrasts and tension on dates

Mini skirt, high heels, and evening bag.

"I would wear this outfit on a casual date, for example, to a lovely, dimly lit wine bar. The outfit has just the right amount of carefree attitude and a little edge, making it perfect for an evening where anything is still possible. I love creating contrasts and combining different materials. In this look, the mini skirt breaks up the softness of the knit and adds some edge."

3. Casual home wear

Pajama pants, wool socks, and a cup of coffee.

“I like to be as comfortable and warm as possible at home. Especially in winter, I wrap myself in knits and choose soft pajama pants to wear on the bottom. This outfit means no rush for me, and that I can pour myself a cup of coffee and just be.”
