Back

Using smaller needles cast on 110[118:126:134:144:152] sts.

WS: K2[0:1:2:1:2], * P1,K2, rep from *. Work in rib 1 cm. Change to larger needles.
Beg and ending rows as indicated, cont in patt from chart as folls:

Row 1: Work 14[18:22:26:31:35] sts in reversed stocking st, work 78 st cable patt from chart (82 sts - 4 sts), work 14[18:22:26:31:35] sts in reversed stocking st. 4 sts have been decreased = 106[114:122:130:140:148] sts. Work rows 1-2, then rep rows 3-26.

Work until back meas 19[20:20:21:21:22] cm. Dec 1 st at each end. Repeat decreases at each end in 5 cm intervals 2 times = 100[108:116:124:134:142] sts.

Work until back meas 48[49:50:51:53:54] cm.

Shape Armholes

Cast off 4[4:5:5:6:6] sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2sts at beg of next 2[4:4:6:6:8] rows. Dec 1 st at each end of foll alt rows 2(2)2(2)3(3) times = 84[88:94:98:104:108] sts. Work until armhole meas 17[18:19:20:20:21] cm.

Shape Shoulders and Back Neck

Cast off 32 sts in the middle of back for neck and work to end. Leave right side sts on a holder. Work each side of neck separately. Work 2 rows. Cast off 2 sts at neck edge. Work until armhole meas 19[20:21:22:22:23] cm. Cast off rem 24[26:29:31:34:36] sts. Rejoin yarn to sts on holder and work to end. Complete to match first side, reversing shapings.

Front

Work as back. Start front neck shaping when armhole meas about 11[12:13:14:14:15] cm and on the appropriate spot in cable patt (not right after row 11 and 23 where the cable twist might tighten the neckline).

Shape Front Neck

Put 24 sts in the middle of front for neck on a holder. Work each side of neck separately. Cast off at neck edge every alt row 3 sts once, 2 sts once. Work 1 row. Dec 1 st at neck edge once. Work until armhole meas 19[20:21:22:22:23] cm. Cast off rem sts. Rejoin yarn to sts on holder and work to end. Complete to match first side, reversing shapings.

Sleeves

Using smaller needles cast on 42[44:44:46:46:48] sts. Work in rib 1 cm. Change to larger needles. Cont in reversed stocking st.

Work until sleeve meas 5[7:8:6:8:9] cm. Inc 1 st at each end. Repeat increases in 4[3,5:3:3:2,5:2,5] cm intervals 9(10)12(13)15(15) times = 62[66:70:74:78:80] sts.
Work until sleeve meas 45[46:47:48:48:49] cm.

Shape top

Cast off 4[4:5:5:6:6] sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 4 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of next and every foll alt row 9(10)11(12)13(14) times. Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cast off rem sts.

To Make Up

Flatten the pieces to the desired dimensions on an even surface, wrong side up. Wet with water spray, and allow to dry. Join both shoulder seams.

Collar

Using 40cm circular needle rejoin yarn to 24 sts from a holder, pick up and knit 90[90:90:93:93:93]sts evenly from neck edge =114[114:114:117:117:117] sts. Work in rib in round (*K2,P1, rep from * to end ) about 19 cm. Cast off sts in rib. Fold the collar in half. P2,K1 -stripes of the rib will come to right side of the collar.

Join side seams and sleeve seams using back stitch or matress stitch if preferred. Set in sleeves.
