Novita Suomivilla: Pulkkamäki (Sledging) scarf
This lovely set of soft accessories for kids is knitted using Novita Suomivilla. The scarf is knitted in garter stitch and decorated with tassels.

Stitch patterns Garter stitch: Row 1: knit all sts. Turn work. Row 2: knit all sts. Keep repeating rows 1-2.
Gauge 19 sts in garter st = approx. 10 cm / 4 in
Using Eagle Owl, cast on 35 sts.
Work garter st using Eagle Owl for 36 rows (approx. 10 cm). Switch to Off White and work 36 rows in garter st. Switch to Crevasse and work 36 rows. Work the 3-stripe pattern as established 3 more times (= 12 stripes in total).
Switch to Eagle Owl and work garter st for 10 cm.
Loosely bind off using Eagle Owl. Bind off as follows: Knit 2 and pass the right-hand st over the left-hand one. Repeat until 1 st remains. Break yarn and pull it through the last st. Weave in the end.
Finishing
Lightly steam the scarf. Make 3 tassels for both ends of the scarf, 1 in each colour.
