Finishing

Place work inside out onto a flat surface, dampen and let dry. Close shoulder seams.

Button bands: Using a circular needle, PUK sts along the front parts and neckline. Start at the hemline of right front, PUK 1 st from every 2nd row, PUK 17(17)19(19)21(21) sts along neckline, then PUK sts along left front. The number of stitches must be divisible by 2 + 1 st.

The first row is a WS row. Continue working in Fisherman’s Rib Stitch pattern, as follows: Row 1: k2, sl 1 st purlwise with yo, *p1, sl 1 st purlwise with yo, rep from * to the last 2 sts and k2. Row 2: (RS row) k2, knit the next st together with its yo, *sl 1 st purlwise with yo, knit the next st together with its yo, rep from * to the last 2 sts and k2. Row 3: (WS row) k2, sl 1 st purlwise with yo, *knit the next st together with its yo, sl 1 st purlwise with yo, rep from * to the last 2 sts and k2. Rep rows 2-3 throughout.
