Cast off 34[34:36:36:38:38] sts in the middle of back for neck and work in patt to end. Leave right side sts on a holder. Work each side of neck separately. Work 2 rows. Dec 2sts at neck edge. Making Up
Flatten the pieces to the desired dimensions on an even surface, wrong side up. Wet with water spray, and allow to dry. Join both shoulder seams.
Collar
Using 40cm circular needle rejoin yarn to 24[24:26:26:28:28] sts on a holder, pick up and knit 80[80:78:82:80:80]sts evenly from neck edge =104[104:104:108:108:108] sts. Work in rib in round 9cm. Cast off sts in rib. Fold the collar in half and sew it into WS.
Set in sleeves ( red attaching mark in pattern). Join side seams and sleeve seams using back stitch or matress stitch if preferred.
