Stitch patterns:
- Garter stitch:
knit all rows.
- Elongated stitch:
Row 1: *knit 1, yarn over or double yarn over*, repeat *-*.
Row 2: *knit 1, drop the yarn over(s) off the needle*
Cast on 50 sts and work 5 rows of garter st.
Then work as follows: work *elongated st with yo x2 (rows 1-2), 10 rows of garter st, elongated st with yo (rows 1-2), 10 rows of garter st*. Keep repeating *-* until the piece measures approx. 120 cm and you have last worked 4 rows of garter st.
Place the cast-on edge behind the live sts. *Knit together 1 st on the needle and 1 loop from the cast-on edge*, repeat *-*. 2 sts on the needle. Pass the 1st st over the other one. 1 st now on the needle.
