Crocheted pillowcase Novita Wool Cotton and Nordic Wool
The pillowcase is crocheted from hexagon-shaped pieces. The sky's the limit when it comes to possible colour combinations: use saffron as the main colour to add some spice, or powder for a soft look. Crocheted from Novita Wool Cotton.

Single-coloured square
(see chart I)
Using the off-white yarn, chain 4 (ch st) and work 1 slip stitch (sl st) into the first ch st to close the loop.
Round 1: Ch2 (= 1st treble of the row), work 2 trebles (tr) into the loop, ch2, *3 trs, ch2*, repeat *-* 2 more times. Close the round with 1 sl st into the 2nd chain from the beginning. 4 treble groups in total.
Round 2: Ch2 (= 1st tr), work 2 trs into the side, work 2 trs around the 2 ch sts in the corner + ch2 + 2 trs, *work 3 trs into the side, work 2 trs around the 2 ch sts in the corner + ch2 + 2 trs*, repeat *-* 2 more times and close the loop with 1 sl st into the 2nd ch st from the beginning. Break the yarn and weave in.
Work a total of 104 squares using the off-white yarn.
Two-coloured square
(see chart II)
Using the off-white yarn, ch4 and work 1 sl st into the first ch st to close the loop.
Round 1: Ch2 (= 1st tr of the row), work 2 trs into the loop, ch2, 3 trs, ch1. Break the off-white yarn and continue with another colour. Crochet over the yarn ends on the next row. Work 1 ch st, 3 trs, 2 ch sts, 3 trs and 1 ch st into the loop. Break the other colour and continue with the off-white yarn. Ch1 and close the round with 1 sl st into the 2nd chain from the beginning. 4 treble groups in total.
Round 2: Ch2 (= 1st tr) with the off-white yarn. Place the yarn ends along the edge and crochet over them. Work 2 trs into the side, work 2 trs + ch2 + 2 trs around the 2 ch sts in the corner, 3 trs into the side, 2 trs + ch1 around the 2 ch sts in the corner. Break the off-white yarn. With the other colour, work ch1 + 2 trs into the corner, work 3 trs into the side, 2 trs + ch2 + 2 trs around the 2 ch sts in the corner, 3 trs into the side, 2 trs + ch1 around the 2 ch sts in the corner. Break the yarn. With the off-white yarn, ch1 + 2 trs into the corner and close the loop with 1 sl st into the 2nd ch st from the beginning. Break the yarn and weave in.
With off-white as the other colour for each square, work a total of 96 two-coloured squares: 32 with powder, 32 with saffron, 16 with putty, and 16 with rock.
Finishing
Steam the squares lightly.
Join the squares following chart III to get a piece 10 squares high and wide.
Use the invisible seaming technique to join the pieces. Place the squares side by side and use the off-white yarn to sew them together stitch by stitch.
Work another piece in the same manner and sew three sides of the finished pieces together. Place the pillow in the pillowcase and sew the last seam.
