Novita Viola is a subtly thin and rich general purpose yarn, suitable for a wide range of knitwear and accessories. Viola is ideal for woollen socks, scarves and thin knitwear in particular.

Viola is available in 12 matching colours. Its composition is 80% wool and 20% polyamide, which makes it highly resistant to wear and tear. Viola is also known as Novita's thinnest sock yarn, which makes it a pleasure to make beautifully detailed colourwork socks.

One ball of Viola weighs 50 grams and contains approximately 200 metres of yarn with a recommended needle size of 3 mm. Viola is suitable for all patterns where 4 ply is recommended. Viola knits can be machine washed at 40 degrees Celsius.

Viola is Novita's thinnest sock yarn. The other classics Novita Nalle, Novita 7 Brothers and Novita Isoveli are thicker.

All Novita sock yarns have been renewed in recent years and now contain 80% wool and 20% polyamide. The previous composition was 75% wool and 25% polyamide. This change has been made in order to reduce the use of artificial fibres in our products. However, the new yarns are at least as durable and washable as before!
