Spurt colourwork leg warmers Novita 7 Veljestä Raita and 7 Veljestä
The legwarmers are back, bigtime. And when it comes to legwarmers, there's really no such thing as "too much". We created these from our new yarn colours for spring/summer 2020. Perfect for your first colourwork project!

Stitch patterns
- Ribbing in the round: *k1, p1*
Using Lush cast on 72 sts and divide them onto four needles, 18 sts each. The beginning of round is between needles I and IV. Work ribbing in the round for 5 rounds.
Begin the colourwork pattern on row 6 of the chart. Repeat the 6 st pattern 12 times. Work rows 7-43 of the chart. On rows 36 and 43 decrease 2 sts as follows: k1, k2tog, work to last 3 sts, skp (= slip 1 knitwise, k1, pass slipped st over), k1. 68 sts now on the needles.
Continue on row 44 of the chart. Repeat the 4 st pattern 17 times. Work rows 45-73. On rows 54, 61 and 67, decrease 2 sts as established = 62 sts. Keep repeating rows 72-73 until the piece measures 29 cm.
Knit 1 round using Off White, decreasing 2 sts as established = 60 sts.
Work ribbing in the round for 5 cm, then bind off in pattern.
Knit the other leg warmer in the same manner. Make sure to begin at the same point in the Raita yarn as on the other piece.
