Cast on 132 sts and work ribbing in the round starting with k1: *k1, p1*, keep repeating *-*.
Work until the hat measures 35 cm. On the last round place 6 markers as follows: *work 22 sts, place marker*, repeat *-* 5 more times.
Begin decreasing:
Round 1 (decrease round): *k1, p1, skp (= slip 1 knitwise, knit 1, pass the slipped st over), work ribbing starting with k1 until 3 sts remain before next marker, knit 2 sts together, p1*, repeat *-* 5 more times. 12 sts decreased, 120 sts on the needles.
Rounds 2-3: *k1, p1, k1, work ribbing starting with k1 until 2 sts remain before next marker, k1, p1*, repeat *-* 5 more times. 120 sts still on the needles.
Round 4 (decrease round): *k1, p1, skp, work ribbing starting with p1 until 3 sts remain before next marker, k2tog, p1*, repeat *-* 5 more times. 12 sts decreased, 108 sts on the needles.
Rounds 5-6: *k1, p1*, keep repeating *-* to end of round. 108 sts still on the needles.
Repeat rounds 1-6 once more. 24 sts decreased, 84 sts on the needles.
Work rounds 1, 2, 4 and 5. 24 sts decreased, 60 sts on the needles.

Break the yarn and pull it through the remaining sts. Pull tightly to close the hole and weave in.
