Stitch patterns Twisted ribbing in the round: *k1 through back loop, p1*, repeat *-*. Stockinette stitch in the round: knit all stitches on all rows. Ribbing in the round: *k1, p1*

Body

Using the 8 mm circular needle (80 cm), cast on 98(106)114(122)130(138) sts, place 1st marker for beginning of round, work twisted ribbing. After 4 cm, switch to the 10 mm circular needle (80 cm).

Work stockinette st and in the front begin the cable pattern on row 1 of the chart: k5(7)9(11)13(15), work cable pattern (43+10 sts), k5(7)9(11)13(15), place 2nd marker (side), k45(49)53(57)61(65), increase 1 (knit the strand of yarn between the sts through the back loop). 109(117)125(133)141(149) sts in total: 63(67)71(75)79(83) sts in the front, 46(50)54(58)62(66) sts in the back.

Keep repeating rows 2-25 of the cable pattern and with the other sts work stockinette st.

When the piece measures 33(34)35(36)37(38) cm, divide the sts into two groups on the next round: work to last 3(4)4(5)6(6) sts before 2nd marker, bind off the next 5(8)8(10)12(12) sts for an armhole and remove the marker. On the same round work to last 2(4)4(5)6(6) sts before 1st marker (beginning of round), bind off the last 2(4)4(5)6(6) sts for the other armhole, remove marker, bind off the first 3(4)4(5)6(6) sts of the next round. 57(59)63(65)67(71) sts in the front, 42(42)46(48)50(54) sts in the back. Break the yarn and leave the sts on hold for the top.

Sleeves

Using the 8 mm double-pointed needles, cast on 30(32)32(34)34(36) sts, place marker for beginning of round and work twisted ribbing in the round.

After 6 cm, switch to the 10 mm double-pointed needles and work stockinette st in the round.

Sizes M, L, XL and XXL: When the piece measures 37(38)38(39) cm, increase 1 st on both sides of the beginning of round: k1, increase 1 (= knit the strand of yarn between the sts through the back loop), work to last st, increase 1, k1. Repeat the increases after 4 cm 0(0)1(1) more time = 30(32)34(36)38(40) sts.

When the piece measures 49(50)51(52)52(53) cm, on the next round work to last 2(3)4(4)5(5) sts, bind off the last 2(3)4(4)5(5) sts for the armhole, remove marker, bind off the first 2(3)4(4)5(5) sts of the next round, work to end of round.

Break the yarn and leave the 26(26)26(28)28(30) sleeve sts on hold for the top.

Knit the other sleeve in the same manner but do not break the yarn.

Top

Move the previous 26(26)26(28)28(30) sleeve sts onto the 10 mm circular needle (80 cm). Place marker for beginning of round (1st raglan seam at the right back shoulder) and work stockinette st. Knit the 42(42)46(48)50(54)back sts. Place marker (2nd raglan seam, left back shoulder) and knit the other 26(26)26(28)28(30) sleeve sts onto the circular needle. Place marker (3rd raglan seam, left front shoulder) and work the 57(59)63(65)67(71)front sts following the cable pattern. Place marker (4th raglan seam, right front shoulder) and knit the 26(24)26(28)28(30)sleeve sts. 151(153)161(169)173(185) sts on the needles.

Begin raglan decreases:

Round 1 (decrease round): *k1, skp (slip 1 knitwise, k1, pass the slipped st over), work to last 3 sts before marker, k2tog, k1. Sleeve:skp, work to last 2 sts before marker, k2tog*.Repeat *-*. 8 sts decreased, 143(145)153(161)165(177) sts on the needles.

Repeat the decreases as follows: back: 12(12)13(14)14(15) more times on every other round; sleeves: 6(6)5(6)6(7) more times on every other round and then 3(3)4(4)4(4) times on every 4th round; front: 10(9)9(10)10(10) more times on every other round.

Switch to the shorter circular needle and then to the double-pointed needles when you need to.

Note: After the previous front decreases, on every other round decrease 2(3)4(4)4(5)x2 sts in the front as follows: k1, sk2p (slip 1 knitwise, k2tog, pass the slipped st over), work to last 4 sts, k3tog, k1.

55(55)57(57)61(63) sts on the needles: 16(16)18(18)20(22) sts in the back, 6(6)6(6)6(6) sts in the sleeves, 27(27)27(27)29(29) sts in the front.

Work 1 round and on sizes XL and XXL decrease 2 sts in the back = 55(55)57(57)59(61) sts.

Next round: Back: p1, skp, p1, *k1, p1*, repeat *-* 5(5)6(6)7(8) more times. Sleeve: k1, p1, k2tog, p1, k1. Front: p1, k1(k1)k1(k1)skp(skp), *p1, k1*, repeat *-* once more, work 15 sts in cable pattern, *k1, p1*, repeat *-* once more, k1(k1)k1(k1)k2tog(k2tog), p1. Sleeve: k1, p1, skp, p1, k1. 52(52)54(54)54(56) sts on the needles.

Work ribbing in the round. At the front keep working 15 sts in cable pattern until the collar measures approx. 13 cm and you have worked 1-3 rounds after a cable turn.

Bind off in pattern.
