Stitch patterns
- Ribbing: *k1, p1*, repeat *-*. On the wrong side rows, knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts.

Using the smaller needles cast on 114(122)130(138)146 sts and work ribbing for 6 cm.
Switch to the larger needles and begin the cable pattern on row 1 of the chart: work 14(17)20(23)26 sts in double seed st, work section A-B (= 33 sts), 20(22)24(26)28 sts in double seed st, A-B again (= 33 sts), 14(17)20(23)26 sts in double seed st. Continue as established. Work rows 2-34 of the chart, then keep repeating rows 3-34.
When the piece measures 44(45)46(47)48 cm, on every other row bind off 5(6)6(7)7x2 sts at both ends for the armholes = 94(98)106(110)118 sts.
When the armhole measures 22(23)24(25)26 cm, bind off the middle 24(26)26(28)28 sts for the neckline. Work one side at a time. On every other row decrease 1x3 sts and 1x2 sts at the neckline edge.
When the armhole measures 24(25)26(27)28 cm, bind off the 30(31)35(36)40 shoulder sts.
Knit the other side in the same manner.
Left front
Using the smaller needles cast on 65(69)73(77)81 sts and begin ribbing on the WS with p1. Work in ribbing, slipping the first st of each row at the front edge.
After 2 cm make the first buttonhole: on a RS row, work until 7 sts remain at the front edge (= left end), work 2 sts together, yarn over, work to end.
When the ribbing measures 6 cm, leave 12 sts at the front edge on hold for the border.
Switch to the larger needles and begin the cable pattern on row 1 of the chart: work 14(17)20(23)26 sts in double seed st, work section A-B (= 33 sts), 6(7)8(9)10 sts in double seed st, increase 1 st at the front edge for seaming = 54(58)62(66)70 sts. Work rows 2-34 of the chart, then keep repeating rows 3-34.
When the piece measures 44(45)46(47)48 cm, on every other row bind off 5(6)6(7)7x2 sts at the right end for the armhole = 44(46)50(52)56 sts.
When the armhole measures 15(16)17(18)19 cm, on every other row bind off 1x5(6)6(6)6 sts, 2x2 sts and 5(5)5(6)6x1 st at the left end for the neckline.
When the armhole measures 24(25)26(27)28 cm, bind off the 30(31)35(36)40 shoulder sts.

Sleeves
Using the smaller needles cast on 59(59)61(63)65 sts and work ribbing for 6 cm.
Switch to the larger needles and begin the cable pattern on row 1 of the chart: work 13(13)14(15)16 sts in double seed st, work section A-B (= 33 sts) and 13(13)14(15)16 sts in double seed st. Work rows 2-34 of the chart, then keep repeating rows 3-34.
At the same time increase at both ends 19(17)16(16)15x1st on every 6th row and then 0(4)6(7)9x1st on every 4th row = 97(101)105(109)113 sts. Work the increased sts in double seed st.
When the piece measures 52(53)54(55)56 cm, on every other row bind off 7(8)8(9)9x1 sts at both ends. Then bind off the remaining sts.
Knit the other sleeve in the same manner.
Finishing
Pin to measurements, mist on the wrong side and allow to dry.
Sew the shoulder seams.
Buttonband (right front): Place the 12 sts on hold onto the smaller needles and increase 1 st for seaming at the front edge = 13 sts. Work ribbing until the border reaches the front neckline. Leave the sts on hold on a safety pin. Sew the border to the front edge (the extra st is decreased = 12 sts). Place markers for 7 buttons on the buttonband. The lowest should be 2 cm from the bottom, the topmost one 1,5 cm from the top, and the other 5 in between, evenly spaced.
Buttonhole band (left front): Work in the same manner. Work buttonholes at the spots you marked. Buttonhole: work 6 sts, 2 sts together, yarn over, work remaining 5 sts. Leave the sts on hold and sew the border to the front edge.
Collar: Using the smaller needles pick up the 12 border sts you left on hold + 22(24)24(26)26 sts from front neckline + 33 sts from back neckline + 22(24)24(26)26 sts from front neckline + 12 held sts = 101(105)105(109)109 sts. Work ribbing for approx. 3 cm, then switch to the larger needles and continue. When the collar measures 10 cm, loosely bind off in pattern.
Attach the sleeves. Sew the side seams and sleeve seams.
Sew on the buttons.

When the piece measures 52(53)54(55)56 cm, on every other row bind off 7(8)8(9)9x1 sts at both ends. Then bind off the remaining sts.
Knit the other sleeve in the same manner.
Finishing
Pin to measurements, mist on the wrong side and allow to dry.
