Ribbing in the round: *k2, p2*, repeat *-*. Cable pattern in the round: work following the chart and instructions.

Using the smaller circular needle cast on 120 sts and begin ribbing in the round with k2. Work ribbing for 13 cm.
Switch to the larger circular needle. Begin the cable pattern on row 1 of the chart. Work the pattern repeat (12 sts + 1 st) 10 times = 130 sts. Then work rows 2-11 of the chart 4 times in total.
Switch to the double-pointed needles and work rows 12-23. In each pattern repeat, 1 st decreased on rows 14, 16 and 21, and 2 sts decreased on rows 18, 20, 22 and 23. Break the yarn and pass it through the remaining 20 sts. Pull tightly to close the hole and securely weave in.
Finishing
Lightly steam the hat. Fold the brim up.
