Lasten sukat
Christmas KAL is starting
In the most anticipated Christmas knit-along, we’ll be knitting the Sydäntalvi socks for the whole family — designed by Minna Metsänen and Sisko Sälpäkivi, and of course made with the beloved Novita 7 Veljestä yarn.
Sydäntalvi - Christmas sock KAL 2025
Join us in knitting the most heartfelt Christmas socks together! Novita’s very own sock masters, Minna Metsänen and Sisko Sälpäkivi, have hidden little hearts into the pattern of the Sydäntalvi socks. The same beautiful patterns have been skillfully used in both the long knee-high version (size 38/39) and the shorter ankle version (sizes 38–43). Made with Novita 7 Veljestä yarn, these socks can easily be finished in time to slip under the Christmas tree!
The knit-along begins on Friday, November 21, 2025. The sock pattern will be released in six parts, published every Monday and Friday, with the final part available on December 8.
The most beautiful Christmas socks are knitted with the beloved Novita 7 Veljestä yarn. Choose your favorite colors and join the knit-along!

Stitch Patterns
Ribbing (worked in the round): K2, P2; repeat from * to *.
Stockinette (worked in the round): knit all stitches.
Colorwork (worked in the round): follow the chart and instructions, knitting stockinette in the round. Catch longer floats by twisting the yarns around each other on the wrong side. Make the twists at different points so that they do not align on consecutive rounds. Always take the contrast color from under the main color so that the contrast color stands out and the result looks neat.
Gauge: 23 sts in colorwork = 10 cm
