crochet according to the diagrams and the written instructions.

Gauge:
22 sts and 28 rows in stockinette stitch using Cotton Soft yarn = 10 cm

The back

Using the Cotton Soft yarn, cast on 102(110)120(130)142 sts and purl the wrong side row. Begin the stockinette stitch.

When the piece measures 9(10)10(11)11 cm, decrease 1 st on both ends of the piece: on the RS row k2, skp (=slip 1, knit 1 and pass the slipped st over) and when 4 sts remain, k2tog, k2. Repeat the decreases every 5 cm 3 more times = 94(102)112(122)134 sts.

When the piece measures 41(42)43(45)46 cm, bind off for the armhole on both ends of the piece on every 2nd row 1x5(5)6(6)8 sts, 1(1)2(3)3x2 sts and 2(4)3(3)3x1 st = 76(80)86(92)100 sts.

When the armhole measures 17(18)19(19)20 cm, bind off the middle 32 sts for the neckline and switch to working one side of the neckline at a time. Bind off on the neckline edge on every 2nd row 2x2 sts.

When the armhole measures 19(20)21(21)22 cm, bind off the 18(20)23(26)30 shoulder sts.

Knit the other side of the neckline to match.

The front

Knit as you did on the back until the armhole measures 9(10)11(11)12 cm. Bind off the middle 28 sts for the neckline and switch to working one side of the neckline at a time. Decrease on the neckline edge on every 2nd row 4x1 st and on every 4th row 2x1 st.

When the armhole measures 19(20)21(21)22 cm, bind off the 18(20)23(26)30 shoulder sts.

Knit the other side of the neckline to match.

Sleeves

Using the Cotton Soft yarn, cast on 59(59)63(63)67 sts for the upper part of the sleeve and purl through the WS row. Begin the stockinette st.

When the piece measures 5(4,5)5(2)3 cm, increase 1 st on both ends. Repeat the increases every 4,5(3,5)3,5(3)3 cm for 4(6)6(8)8 more times = 69(73)77(81)85 sts.

When the piece measures 27(28)29(29)30 cm, bind off on both ends on every 2nd row 1x5(5)6(6)8 sts, 1x3 sts, 3x2 sts, 10(11)12(13)14x1 sts, 1x2 s and 1x3 sts. Bind off the remaining sts.

Knit the upper part of the second sleeve to match.

1st lace section (see diagram I): Using Novita Cotton Crochet, chain 29 and crochet:

1st row: 1 treble (tr) into the fourth chain from the hook. Ch 1, skip 3 sts, work 2 trs + ch 2 + 2 trs + ch 1 into the next st, skip 3 sts and work 1 tr into the next st. Ch 3, skip 3 sts and work 1 tr + ch 5 + 1 tr into the next st. Ch 3, skip 3 sts, 1 tr into the next st. Ch 1, skip 3 sts, work 2 trs + ch 2 + 2 trs + ch 1 into the next st, skip 3 sts and work 2 trs.

Continue crocheting from row 2 of diagram I. First work rows 2-4 and then keep repeating rows 5-8 until the length of the lace is approx. 26(26)28(28)30 cm. Break the yarn. Crochet a matching lace section for the second sleeve.

Lay the lace sections to measurements and steam lightly.

Sew the lace sections into the bottom edges of the sleeves.

Using the Cotton Soft yarn, pick up 60(60)64(64)66 sts from the bottom edge of the lace for the lower part of the sleeve. Work 3 rows in stockinette st and on the next row increase 5 sts:

1st increase row: on the RS row, k10(10)10(10)11 sts, make 1 (=pick up the strand of yarn between the sts and knit it though the back loop), *k10(10)11(11)11 sts, m1*, repeat from * to * 3 more times and k10(10)10(10)11 sts = 65(65)69(69)71 sts. Knit 5 rows.

2nd increase row: on the RS row k11(11)11(11)12 sts, m1, *k11(11)12(12)12 sts, m1*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, k10(10)10(10)11 sts = 70(70)74(74)76 sts. Knit 3 rows.

3rd increase row: on the RS row k11(11)11(11)12 sts, m1, *k12(12)13(13)13 sts, m1*, repeat from * to * 3 more times, k11(11)11(11)12 sts = 75(75)79(79)81 sts.

Work in stockinette st until the lower part of the sleeve measures 8,5 cm. Bind off.

Knit the lower part of the other sleeve to match.

Lace edging (see diagram II): Using the Cotton Crochet yarn, chain 141(141)157(157)157 and work 1 tr into the 4th chain from the hook, *skip 1 st, ch 1 and 1 tr into the next st*, repeat from * to * and work 1 tr into the last st.

Continue crocheting from row 2 of diagram II. 17(17)19(19)19 treble groups in total. Crochet rows 3-7. Break the yarn. Crochet the other lace edging to match.

Lay the lace edgings to measurements and steam lightly.

Sew the lace sections into the sleeves.

Finishing

Lay the pieces to measurements wrong side up, mist with a spray bottle and allow to dry.

Sew the shoulder seams and the side seams. Sew the inner sleeve seams and attach the sleeves.

The lace edging on the neckline: Join the Cotton Crochet yarn with 1 double crochet (dc) into one of the shoulder seams and work 1 row of dc into the neckline edge. Close the round with 1 slip stitch (sl st) into the first dc on the round. Next work the picot round: Work 1 dc into the dc on the previous round, *work the picot (= ch 3, 1 dc into the first chain), skip 2 dc from the previous round and work 1 dc into the next dc*, repeat from * to * to the end of the round. Close the round by working 1 sl st into the beginning of the round. Break the yarn.

The lace edging on the hem: Join the Cotton Crochet yarn into one of the side seams with 1 dc and work 1 dc into each st on the hem. Close the round by working 1 sl st into the first dc of the round. Work the picot round as you did on the neckline and break the yarn.
