Using the Fir yarn, cast on 105(111)123(129)141(147) sts and work 3 rows of ribbing. Then work 2 rows with Off-white, 4 rows with Fir, 2 rows Off-white and 3 rows Fir.
Using Fir, work 2 rows of stockinette st. Begin the colourwork from row 1 of the chart: work 2 sts from the right edge, work the 6 st pattern repeat 17(18)20(21)23(24) times, work 1 st from the left edge. Work rows 2-16 and then keep repeating rows 1-16.
When the piece measures 43(44)45(46)48(49) cm, bind off 1x5(5)5(6)6(6) sts at both ends for the armholes. On every other row decrease 4(4)4(5)5(5)x1 st at both ends = 87(93)105(107)119(125) sts.
When the armhole measures 19(20)21(22)22(23) cm, bind off the middle 35(35)37(37)39(39) sts for the neckline. Work one side of the neckline at a time. Bind off at the shoulder on every other row 1x8(9)10(11)12(13)sts and 2x8(9)11(11)13(14) sts and at the same time bind off 1x2 sts at the neckline edge.
Work the other side of the neckline to match.
Front
Work as you did the back until the armhole measures 10(11)12(13)13(14) cm. Leave the middle 21(21)23(23)25(25)sts on hold for the neckline (e.g. on a piece of yarn). Work one side of the neckline at a time. Bind off on every other row 2x3 sts, 1x2 sts and 1x1 st at the neckline edge.
When the armhole measures 19(20)21(22)22(23) cm, bind off on every other row at the shoulder 1x8(9)10(11)12(13) sts and 2x8(9)11(11)13(14) sts.
Work the other side of the neckline to match.
