Stitch pattern
- Cable pattern: follow the chart and instructions.
Gauge
24 sts of the cable pattern = 10 cm / 4 in
Cast on 49(67) sts and begin the cable pattern on the WS on row 1 of the chart: work the 2 sts at the left end, repeat the 6 st pattern 7(10) times, work the 5 sts from the right end. Work rows 1-3 of the chart, then keep repeating rows 4-9.
When the scarf measures approx. 175(250) cm and you have last worked row 7 of the chart, bind off.
Finishing
Steam the scarf lightly.
Make tassels for the larger-size scarf. Cut 6 approx. 40 cm pieces of yarn for each tassel. Hold the yarns together and fold. Pull the folded end through the edge of the scarf, pull the open end through the folded end and tighten. Make 12 tassels for both ends.
