Mica Sweater Knit-along - Solid
Mica is the big knit-along of the summer! The Mica sweater is available in no less than five variations in eight different sizes. In addition to the colours, you can choose the sleeve length to make the sweater your own: you can knit it with long, short or 3/4 sleeves.

Needles and other supplies
Circular knitting needles (40 and 60–80 cm) Novita 4.5–5 mm and double pointed knitting needles Novita 4.5–5 mm or as required to meet gauge. Before you start: When you work with mohair yarn, your individual knitting tension will significantly affect the gauge. It’s advisable to knit a gauge swatch before starting the project to ensure that your top ends up the right size. If necessary, adjust your needle size. Accessories: 4 stitch markers.

Gauge swatch Stockinette in the round:knit all rows. Flat stockinette: Knit right side (RS) and purl wrong side (WS).
Knitting tension 17 sts and 22 rows in stockinette with triple yarn = 10 cm x 10 cm.
Pattern The sweater is worked seamlessly from top down. Check the diagram for the knitting direction. You start with the shoulder and top sections of the sleeves. The work is then divided into three sections. You will continue by working the bodice and lower section and finally the sleeves. This project is worked with three strands of yarn throughout.
Techniques M1R: Right leaning increase (Make One Right); use your left needle to pick up the strand between the last stitch and the next stitch from back to front and knit into the front of this stitch. M1L: Left leaning increase (Make One Left) use your left needle to pick up the strand between the last stitch and the next stitch from front to back and knit into the back of this stitch.M1RP: Right leaning purl increase (Make One Right Purlwise) use your left needle to pick up the strand between the last stitch and the next stitch from front to back and purl into the back of this stitch. M1LP: Left leaning purl increase (Make One Left Purlwise) use your left needle to pick up the strand between the last stitch and the next stitch from back to front and knit into the front of this stitch.Double stitch (DS): After you’ve turned your work slip 1 stitch purlwise with yarn in front (SL1PW wyif), lift your yarn up and over the needle, pulling on it until it creates a double stitch.
