Halaus Collar
The neck warmer is knitted with luxuriously soft Halaus yarn, a material that every knitter will easily fall in love with and enjoy working with. The Halaus neck warmer is designed to match the beanie from the same series, completing the style. It is knitted using Novita 3.5 mm birch circular needles, 40 cm in length.

Techniques
Construction The neck section is knitted in the round from the top to the shoulders.The back and front flaps are knitted flat.The borders are folded and the edges sewn to the wrong side.
Neck
Using the circular needle, cast on 96 sts.Making sure not to twist the sts, join for working in the round.Place marker for beginning of round.Tip!If you don’t have proper stitch markers, you can also use safety pins or pieces of yarn.
Work stockinette st in the round for 12 rounds.
Now begin the 2x2 ribbingwith k1, p2. Work ribbing for 48 sts.Place side marker.Work ribbing for another 48 sts (end of round).The round ends with k1.Work ribbing for 20 cm.
Work ribbing and begin increases:Work next round to last st, M1R, k2, M1L.Work ribbing to last st before side marker,M1R, k2, M1L.Work ribbing to end of round.4 sts increased.Work ribbing for 2 rounds while knitting the increased sts.4 consecutive knit sts around the markers.100 sts on the needles.

Next, divide the sts into two groups.
Front
Work the first 52 sts (front), i.e. until you reach the side marker.Leave the remaining 52 sts on hold for the back.3 knit sts at both ends.Turn work. Work back and forth with the 52 front sts.
Row 1 (WS):Slip 3 sts purlwise with yarn in front.Tightening the yarn a bit, work 2x2 ribbing to last 5 sts.K2, slip 3 purlwise with yarn in front.Turn work.
Row 2 (RS):Tightening the yarn, k3 (edge sts).Beginning with p2, work 2x2 ribbing to last 3 sts, k3.Turn work.
Keep repeating rows 1–2.The 3 sts slipped at the beginning and end of WS rows will form an i-cord edge.Keep working until the front measures 23 cm.
