Christmas Star crochet pillowcase Nordic Wool
Joulutähti Pillowcase is a great Christmas project for the crocheter. Made from 18 separate squares of Novita Nordic Wool, which are seamed together to form the finished pillowcase.

Twist the yarn around two fingers and crochet into the ring:
Row 1: Ch3 (= 1st tr), work 2 tr into ring up to last yarn over and pull-through, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, *ch2, work 3 tr up to last yo and pull-through, yo and pull through all loops on hook*, repeat *-* 6 more times, ch1 and 1 htr into 3rd ch from beginning.
Row 2: Ch3 (= 1st tr), work 2 tr into htr up to last yarn over and pull-through, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, *ch2, 3 tr into ch arch, ch2, 3 tr tog + ch3 + 3 tr tog into next ch arch*, repeat *-* 2 more times, ch2, 3 tr into ch arch, ch2, 3 tr tog into last ch arch, ch1, 1 htr into 3rd ch from beginning.
Work rows 3-6 of the chart.
Crochet a total of 18 squares in this manner, 9 squares per side.
Finishing
Steam the squares lightly.
Join the squares: With RS facing up sew the edges of the squares together stitch by stitch. Assemble the squares in a 6x3 arrangement. Sew the edges to form a loop, then sew one of the sides. Weave in the ends.
Place the pillow in the case and sew the last seam.
