Join us in knitting a beautiful colourwork blanket for Christmas using the much-loved Novita Nalle yarn or the luxurious Nalle Alpakka. The knit-along starts on 1 December – get your yarns in good time and join us!
Christmas Blanket KAL
Would a red or blue blanket be the perfect match for your Christmas home? Or do you celebrate the season in completely different colours? In Novita’s Christmas knit-along, we’ll create a soft blanket from knitted squares, perfect for wrapping yourself in on Christmas Eve.
The blanket comes in two versions: for the larger, red-and-white Jouluntähti blanket, you’ll need 650 g of Novita Nalle in shade (523) Lingonberry and 600 g in shade (010) Off White.
The smaller, blue-toned Pohjantähti blanket is knitted in Novita Nalle Alpakka: you’ll need 500 g in shade (1261) Frosty Night and 400 g in shade (708) Light Lavender.
You can also choose your own colour combination or go for a joyful mix of colours. Both yarn ranges offer plenty of beautiful shades to mix and match.
The knit-along starts on 1 December and follows a Christmas calendar format: a new part of the pattern will be released each day on Novita.com, all the way through to Christmas Eve. Beloved Novita Nalle yarns
Novita Nalle is a true yarn classic and has been a favourite among Finnish knitters for decades. The versatile Nalle yarn is ideal for knitted garments and accessories, and it also makes an excellent sock yarn. The yarn contains 80% warming wool and 20% polyamide for added durability.
Novita Nalle Alpakka is a wonderfully soft sock yarn made from 50% warm wool, 30% luxurious alpaca and 20% polyamide for added durability. The versatile Nalle Alpakka yarn is ideal for knitted garments and accessories, and it also makes an excellent sock yarn.
Novita Nalle and Nalle Alpakka yarns carry the Finnish Key Flag Symbol.
